Ewa Giermanowska - PhD in social sciences in sociology, works at the Institute of Applied Social Sciences, University of Warsaw. She specialises in labour sociology and employment policy. A significant place in her research interests is occupied by issues of employment and working conditions of youth and persons with disabilities. She is the author of many scientific publications on disability issues as well as analyses and expertises for governmental and local government institutions and civic organisations. She is a member of the Board of the Labour Sociology Section of the Polish Sociological Association and a member of the Jury of the Prof. A. Matejko Award for the best doctoral dissertation in the field of labour sociology and a member of the PTS Disability Sociology Section. She is currently involved in a project with partners from Norway (funded by the Norwegian Funds) on independent living policies and personal assistance services for students and graduates with disabilities in Poland and Norway (2019-2022).
